"The Greatest Treasure"

This piece is a sequel to one I made for my husband. My mother-in-law gave me some really cool old keys and one of them was just perfect for this art quilt. I decided to call it "The Greatest Treasure" because of this quote, "The greatest treasures are those invisible to the eye but found by the heart." After all, love truly is the greatest treasure. I thought about quilting that quote in the narrow black border but ultimately decided that the hearts would look better and also fill the space better. I just loved doing the quilting on this piece. It has almost all of my favorite machine quilting techniques: swirls, couching, and funky free-motion. |
