"Chinese New Year" (or "Dragon
Quilt") was the first qilt that I stippled. (Stippling is a form of
machine quilt that kind of wanders all over the fabric in jigsaw puzzle
shapes.) I cut the dragon and the little guys out from a one-yard piece
of fabric. It probably took me as long to do that as it did for me to
quilt it! On the orange borders, I machine quilted square spirals,
reminding me a little of the pagodas dwellings that are so popular in
China I also made the orange-pink clouds out of silk.
